Bari Duda
Why did you get into personal training?
I have a deep passion for helping people achieve their wellness goals. Training one on one gives me the ability to personalize programs for my clients.
What is your “specialty”?
My specialty is working with clients who are not comfortable lifting weights and incorporating a weight workout in their
programs. I enjoy training the “new” exerciser, clients who are nursing injuries or who are deconditioned. People who know me would say my real “specialty” is in motivating people to exercise.
What is your education/certifications?
Old Dominion University, Physical Education; George Mason University, Interdisciplinary Degree “Working with the Aging Adult”.
Certifications: AFAA Personal Trainer; AFAA Presenter, Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor; Les Mills “Body Vive” instructor; CPR-Infant and Adult.
What is your fitness passion – what got you interested in exercise and wellness?
My “passion” – getting people to see the benefits of exercise and ultimately live longer, healthier, happier lives.
What do you love to do in your spare time?
I love to travel – Italy being my favorite so far. I enjoy snow skiing, running, taking a great group exercise class. Cooking is a passion – and I dearly LOVE red wine…! A good book on a cold night, in front of my fireplace, with a glass of red wine. But, most of all – spending any time I can grab with my daughters – lights up my life.
What else would you like a prospective client to know about you?
There is absolutely nothing more important than your health – physically and mentally. Life is way too short -- so enjoy every single moment of it. Live in the moment – create your own happiness – and find laughter in your life.
